Just finished the Season 4 of “The Expanse” on Amazon Prime. This has easily been one of my favorite shows of all time. It is basically a sci-fi version of Game of Thrones. You know I love me some Game of Thrones! The first three seasons were on the Sci-Fi channel and hosted on Amazon Prime but season 4 was an Amazon Prime original and was just as good or better then the last three seasons.
The entire show is based in the distant future with people from Earth having started colonies on Mars and the asteroid belt. The Martians have been trying to terraform Mars for generations while the people that live on the asteroid belt, aka The Belters, mine the asteroids for minerals. All three civilizations hate each other and are constantly arguing and fighting with each other. Sound familiar?
The show basically take all the current human problems and issues and move them into space. The show is loaded with politics, action, drama and great sci fi plus Season 5 is already being filmed.
I highly recommend this show to anyone who likes sci-fi or Game of Thrones. You will really enjoy The Expanse.
