I Am Mother Review | Netflix | Tim Hart VanDyk Mortgage

My buddy, Don Turner, recommended this movie to me and I’m glad he did. Netflix original movies are hit and miss but they nailed this one. The movie is set somewhere in the future. Humans are extinct due to some kind of global catastrophe or disease. My guess was that the internet broke and humanity just died within 3 days but lucky for you the movie tells you what happened.

Anyways, this girl is raised by an AI robot named “Mother”. Mother is basically all things to this little girl who is named Daughter and I’m not sure she ever got a name the entire movie. Mother raises Daughter in this structure, that also has what seems like, millions of human embryos to start humanity over. Humanity has gone extinct and Mother plans on starting the human race over. Everything is hunky dory until a random human shows up into the compound. The movie starts to turn to shades of Terminator pretty quickly.

The more I watch these AI movies and then see the progress we are making on AI in real life, I realize that we are not far from being taken over by AI. Look on YouTube anytime to see robots, doing flips and sprints and all other type of human killing activity. Nothing you can do about it so you might as well enjoy the movie. Don’t forget Stranger Things 3 is coming out soon. Love that show!

I give this movie a 700 credit score and can recommend it to anyone that likes sci-fi
