So I made a new friend over the past couple months. His name is Eric Raddatz and he works for Florida Weekly, runs the Fort Myers Film Festival and an all around great guy. Anyways, he let me know that he had tickets to the premiere of Hobbs & Shaw at the Bell Tower. My boys are big fans of Fast & Furious so I knew they would love it, so I jumped at the chance. I got four tickets for my wife and two sons. My daughter chose to stay at Grandma Harts to play with her new found rabbit. That is another story.
I have never been to a movie premiere so it was a first for me. Eric warned me to get there early so we showed up 45 minutes early. The place was slammed! The only seats available were the first three rows. I have not sat in the first rows of a movie theater since I was like 10 years old. It sucks. Lol! Side note, Jai Alai IPA cans are only $5 there. Not sure how that price happened but that was nice to see.
So back to the movie, it was really good. The back and forth banter between the Rock and the other guy was funny and the movie was action packed. If you are into action packed movies or want to see the Rock shirtless then all by means go. True story. Two middle age woman sat to my right and I thought they were going to pass out when the Rock went shirtless for about a 10 minute fight scene at the end. I heard loud gasps coming from one of them when the scene started.
Anyways, it was a solid action movie.
