TIMDANGO MOVIE REVIEWS: THE MEG

So when I saw the preview for Meg, I got all excited because I read this book when it came out in 1997 and loved it. I actually just found out that there was like 6 sequels of the original book when I looked up the original book date. I didn’t like it that much to now go back and read the other sequels and I’m pretty sure this movie is not going to put out a sequel.

The Meg

The movie was entertaining and is one of those movies that you just need to watch and unplug from reality. I watched it with my three kids on the couch the night before Thanksgiving. These kids literally heckled every part of the movie and of course got scared in several parts but overall it was fine for kids. Pretty sure you know that the shark is going to eat people or other animals…a lot.

The movie is based on a hidden water column deep in the Marianas Trench. The scientists find the region and start exploring. Not a spoiler but the Megalodon lives there and then wrecks anything it can.

If am being completely honest, Sharknado was better.

Still an ok movie to watch if you like sharks, suspense, cheesy action movies or just want to see Jason Statham shirtless (hint, hint ladies).

I give it a credit score of 620.
